Sick Mama

Well I managed to get sick.  Woke up yesterday with a high fever and felt terrible, so I went to the Dr.  They tested me for the flu and yep I have Influenza B.  I haven't been this sick in at least 4 years.  I had to cancel all my appointments for the rest of the week, I have never had to do that. Arlee still seems to be doing ok but today I have noticed she has been coughing a little and her nose is a little runny.  I hope she doesn't get this.  I have tried to stay away from her but today I have no choice because now my Grandma is sick and Wayco can't take off work.  She knows I'm sick it's so cute when I cough she comes over and hugs me, plus she is being extra good for me today.  I'm just going to keep my distance and keep spraying my Lysol cloud behind me.

Aunt Angie and Aunt Katie took Arlee to the park.

19 Months

Arlee is now 19 months old, believe it or not!  It amazes me how quickly she is growing.  She had her check-up the other day, it was supposed to be her 18 month check-up but it ended up being her 19 month check-up because of the weather and us just being busy.  I'm never super excited to get her to the Dr.  when shots are involved.  Everything went good, Arlee is right on track.  She weighs 25.5 lbs, thats 50th percentile, height is 34 inches, 90th percentile, head was 19inches i think, it was 75th or 80th percentile.  She had 1 shot, now she is caught up til shes 4 I think is what they said.  We didn't do a flu shot, and  I swear I had 4 people that day tell me we should between the nurses and Dr.  but na, we aren't big fans of the flu shot and Arlee still has yet to be sick, just a few runny noses and thats it.  With her not being in daycare i'm not worried about it, but man I got some bad vibes from everyone for saying no.

I am really bad about blogging, I just wait to long to post sorry!  Life has been busy for us.  My grandpa had a heart attack about a month ago, he had to have triple bypass surgery in Wichita.  Since my Grandma is the babysitter I had to make other arrangements and cut my work schedule way down.  He is doing really good, I am so thankful because it's scary to think what could of happened.  Now we are almost back to normal, I started back to work full time this week.  I am having to take Arlee to my Grandparents for now so my Grandma can help Grandpa with things til he's ready to be on his own.  It's given me a taste of what it's like to take her to daycare.  I have to get up earlier, pack her bag, make sure she has everything, leave the car seat for Wayco to pick her up.  Man i'm lucky to have Grandma to come over!!  Thanks Grandma!!

Arlee is doing so much, she is talking like crazy!  At first we couldn't really understand some things and sometimes we still can't but she is starting to enunciate her words so good! She has started saying No,No,No and pointing her finger, haha just like I do! It cracks me up!!  She is into coloring, she makes circles, 1's, and 2's.  Shes counting a little, singing, dancing like crazy, cooking up a fierce meal in her kitchen, and soaking up any attention she can get.

I am going to try to do better posting things we will see i'm going to try to post every week!

Picture Time

We had pictures today!   I  think I was the only excited one.  Arlee was not in the mood for pictures what so ever.  I don't know if she just woke up wrong or if it was just to early for her.  We went at 10am, I know that seems like a reasonable time but when she doesn't wake up til 9am, that's rushing us.  Aunt Angie came over to help us get ready and to help with the picture taking process.  We had to leave way earlier to get out to Ragan's house with the roads being bad and all. Once we got there Arlee did so good, she was doing just what we wanted!  Then, we had an outfit change and something happened, Arlee's mood changed.  She didn't want anything to do with the props, all she wanted was to hold this singing dog.  So Ragan snapped a few pics then when changed again.  The next outfit was bad, the shirt was scratching her neck and she went from zero to pissed! We tried to get some pics but tears and snot were flying!!!  I calmed her down then we thought lets go outside and get some snow pics, nope Arlee cried again.  We called it good and headed home, as soon as we left she was all smiles in the car for us!  Here are some shots she got,
