5 weeks

Arlee is now 5 weeks old. Its hard to believe! She is growing so much. In the beginning it was so hard to figure out what she needed and how to make her happy. It seemed like the crying never stopped! I have always been a sleeper and to have my sleep taken away was hard to get adjusted to. Turned out that Arlee and her formula weren't agreeing with each other. We changed her formula 3 times, after a few weeks we noticed a big improvement. Now things are settling down on her part. She is much happier. At her one month mark she started smiling! She always had gas smiles but she finally will smile when we play with her, its freaking cute! Last night she let out a couple of Koo's. She loves to lay on the floor and be messed with and if you ignore her does she ever let you know!

This weekend we are moving in our house! I am so ready, it seems like it is taking forever. We have been living at my parents house for the past few weeks trying to get the finishing touches done so we can move in. It is nice to have my parents around to help with Arlee but I want to be in my own home. Plus, I want to get Arlee adjusted as well. Right now the only thing she will sleep in is her swing. We had to get rechargeable batteries because we would use a pack a day. She will lay in bed with me but i'm not starting that! She does really well at night now. Last night we fed her at 11pm and she didn't wake up til 5am, then back to sleep after eating until 8:30am. I hope that's our new schedule!

Hey I just enrolled us in a free program called Parents as Teachers - it's through Greenbush, but these ladies will come to your house like once a month or so and make sure Arlee is developing as she should be and give you tips and tricks and ways to help her improve if she falls behind anywhere and they will also answer any questions you have about development and stuff - it goes up to 3 years old. My friend at work has them come for her 2 kids and she loves it. Here is the link in case you are interested - http://www.greenbush.org/main_subcategory.cfm?CAT=17&SUBCAT=46&Title=Early-Childhood&SubCatTitle=Parents%20As%20Teachers
