2 Year Check-up

Went to the Dr. for Arlee's 2 year check-up yesterday.  Every things good as usual.  I'm not sure what her height and weight was for sure they said she was 90% for her height and head, and 50% for her weight.  I think she was 28 lbs, and maybe 36 inches tall.  She was scared to get on the scale so I was trying to convince her it was okay, and wasn't paying attention to what the nurse told me.  Dr. told me that according to the questionnaire we fill out Arlee is very advanced doing what 3 yr olds do.  Yay!!  They had us do a led test, where they poke your finger and squeeze blood out in a tube.  She didn't cry!!  First time with no tears!!  Prob because they gave her a sucker.  Summer is finally slowing down a little for us, time to relax a little for the next few weeks.

More Birthday Fun!

I had posted some pics from Arlee's party earlier but I hadn't had time to talk about her birthday.  We had her party last Sunday at the Central Park Pavilion.  We had a great turnout all of our family and close friends were able to make it.  I had plenty of help getting the building decorated while Wayco stayed home with Arlee, I wanted her to be surprised.  She was definitely surprised when she walked in and saw everyone and all her fun b-day decorations.  She loved her cake, she loved the owls.

Candy from the pinata

That wasn't the end of her b-day stuff, when Thursday, her actual b-day, rolled around we went to the Oklahoma Aquarium with my friend and her daughter who shares the same b-day as Arlee.  It was Arlee's longest car ride ever. She got a little impatient about half way there, so I gave in and let her have a sucker for the first time.  That totally occupied her time for the rest of the way there.  The aquarium was fun but i kinda expected more from it.  The girls really enjoyed it so that's all that maters. The car ride home went great.  Now we are ready to make the big Branson trip in September.  When we got home Arlee had a big birhday surprise waiting for her at home.  Daddy had been slaving away in the backyard putting together Arlee's new swingset.  Th only thing was they didn't give us all the pieces and we couldn't attach he swing part, so Arlee just has a slide for now.  She didn't care shee has been going up and down the slide constantly.  Everytime she looks outside and see's her slide she wants outside!!

I have one more thing to share, yesterday from 2:30 til 8:30 Arlee pottied in her potty chair several times and had no accidents!!  So proud of her!
Oh and one more thing haha, Arlee has figured out how to escape from her crib, she's getting her toddler bed today, wish us luck!!!!

4th of July Weekend

We had a great LONG weekend!  I took Sat. thru Tues. off, a little mini vaca.  We didn't really have anything planned we just wanted to have a relaxing weekend and be open to do whatever.  That doesn't happen to often, especially in the summer.  So Sat. we went swimming all day, Arlee loves, loves, loves the pool and she has quite a good tan going on.  Sunday, we headed to Pittsburg.  They have all kinds of stuff going on at the park there mainly for kids.  They have an area at the park called Kiddie Land with mini carnival rides.  Well Arlee acted all excited to ride but after she got on the rides she would start crying about half way through, and they would stop the ride so she could get off.  She tried to ride 3 rides and the same thing so we said no more.  She did like the train ride though, I think b/c we could ride it with her, the other rides she rode by herself.  I have to add how freakin HOT it was!!  After all that Wayco entered the hot dog eating contest and got 2nd place, he ate 10 dogs, the winner ate 12.  I know sounds gross, and yes it was!  They make a big deal about it, they have kids, teenagers, and adults do this.  I think I counted 18 adults eating dogs.  They have 7 mins to mow down as many hot dogs as they can.  While that was taking place Arlee spotted the pony rides and was waiting patiently as an almost 2 yr old could.  When Wayco was done thats what we headed for.  Arlee loved her pony ride, she didn't wanna get off the dang thing.  After that we headed home.  Monday we swam again, my mom came with us so Arlee was excited to show off her swimming skills.  We stayed up til 11 watching the fireworks at Santa Fe.  I was impressed for no nap Arlee did so good!  She was tired though.  But she loved the night works, she would say "sparkle, sparkle"  it was cute.  Tuesday more swimming with Aunt Angie.
Arlee's party is this coming weekend so i'm working on things this week for it.  Oh, and Arlee's getting her molars in her last set the bottoms ones are pretty much in now the top ones are coming, looks painful.  Poor thing, she has a bad time with teeth especially in the night.  Not for long I hope!
