Today we took a family trip to the Independence Zoo. It was suppsed to rain but we chanced it and went, we had been talking about going to the zoo and Arlee knew that, so we had to go no matter what. Right when we got to the zoo it stopped raining and stayed nice the whole time. The zoo there is small and free, but it was perfect for Arlee's first time. She was fascinated by the whole thing, here are some pics,

First off, I can't believe she's almost 2! Secondly, you guys should pack up and come to KC for a day. We'd love to have a play date and the petting zoo is super close to our house. We'll make sure to get in touch next time we come to Chanute to see if you are free :)
